Time 1h5m

Yield 8

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/8 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
1 clove garlic, finely chopped

Steps:

  • In shallow glass or plastic dish or resealable plastic food-storage bag, mix all ingredients.

  • Remaining marinade must be boiled to be served as a sauce. In 1-quart saucepan, heat marinade to boiling, stirring constantly; boil and stir 1 minute.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of meat. A flank steak or skirt steak is a good choice for this marinade, as they are both relatively thin and cook quickly.
  • Make sure the meat is properly marinated. The longer the meat marinates, the more flavor it will absorb. Aim to marinate the meat for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight.
  • Don't overcook the meat. Jerk chicken is best when it is cooked quickly over high heat. This will help to keep the meat tender and juicy.
  • Serve the meat with your favorite sides. Jerk chicken is often served with rice and beans, but it can also be served with other sides such as grilled vegetables, roasted potatoes, or salad.

Conclusion:

The teriyaki jerk marinade is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your next chicken dish. Whether you are grilling, baking, or frying the chicken, this marinade will give it a delicious sweet and spicy flavor. So next time you are looking for a new way to cook chicken, give the teriyaki jerk marinade a try. You won't be disappointed!
