MARGARITA BALLS

Margarita Balls image

There are never enough of these! I could bring 12 dozen to my office and one co-worker (who's not a drinker) would eat them all. For those who don't like a strong alcohol flavor this is the way to go. Yumm! It's hard for me to estimate the prep time since I do bits and pieces at different times, so what I've listed is just assembly, not the time for blanching and grinding almonds and crushing cookies.

Tips:

  • To make the tequila balls as round as possible, use a melon baller or small cookie scoop to shape the dough. You can also roll the dough into small balls by hand.
  • Be sure to freeze the tequila balls for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will help them hold their shape and prevent them from becoming too soft.
  • If you don't have any tequila on hand, you can substitute another type of alcohol, such as vodka or rum. However, tequila is the traditional ingredient for this recipe.
  • To make the tequila balls even more festive, you can decorate them with sprinkles, edible glitter, or chopped nuts.

Conclusion:

Tequila balls are a delicious and easy-to-make party treat. They're perfect for any occasion, whether it's a Cinco de Mayo celebration or a holiday party. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create these tasty treats that are sure to be a hit with your guests.
