1 fresh beef brisket (3 to 4 pounds), trimmed and cut in half
1 cup ketchup
1 small onion, chopped
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Place the brisket in a 3-qt. slow cooker. In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Pour over brisket. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or until tender., Remove the beef; set aside.
