Time 1h50m

Yield 3-4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 5

2 racks baby back ribs
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
black pepper
garlic powder
16 ounces barbecue sauce

Steps:

  • Take ribs out of package and rinse off with cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Take a fork and remove the thin membrane off of the back of the ribs. (Sometimes this is not easy to do and its okay to leave it on).
  • Take each rack of ribs and cut them into thirds or fourths sections. Place ribs on shallow sided pan or a cookie sheet with sides. ( I foil line the pan for easy clean up ) Season with the pepper and garlic powder to taste and let ribs sit at room temperature for about 1/2 hour or so.
  • Pre heat oven to 350. Take about 3 or 4 tablespoons of apple cider vineger and pour it into the pan of ribs (NOT ON THE RIBS THEMSELVES). Cover the ribs with foil and place in the oven. Cook ribs for about 1 hour or until the meat is just starting to pull away from the bone.
  • Pull ribs from oven, remove from pan and brush on BBQ sauce. (I use Cattlemens Classic Brand) Place ribs on pre heated BBQ grill and grill on medium heat turning often and brushing with BBQ sauce after each time you turn them. Grill them until ribs are fully done.

Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs are the most popular type of ribs for grilling, as they are tender and flavorful. They are located on the back of the pig, between the shoulder and the loin.
  • Prepare the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs before cooking. This will help the ribs to cook more evenly and will also prevent them from shrinking too much.
  • Season the ribs: There are many different ways to season ribs, but a simple rub of salt, pepper, and garlic powder is a good place to start. You can also add other spices, such as cumin, chili powder, or paprika.
  • Cook the ribs: Ribs can be cooked in a variety of ways, but the most popular methods are grilling and smoking. Grilling ribs is a relatively quick and easy method, while smoking ribs takes longer but produces a more flavorful result.
  • Sauce the ribs: Once the ribs are cooked, you can sauce them to add flavor and moisture. There are many different types of barbecue sauce available, so you can choose one that suits your taste.

Conclusion:

Baby back ribs are a delicious and versatile cut of meat that can be cooked in a variety of ways. Whether you are grilling, smoking, or baking them, there are a few key tips to keep in mind to ensure that your ribs turn out tender and flavorful. With a little practice, you will be able to make baby back ribs that are sure to impress your friends and family.
