TASTY CHICKEN STRIPS

Tasty Chicken Strips image

When I'm home alone, and I don't feel like cooking a lot, I like to make up different things and experiment. My all-time favorite food is chicken, so one day while on spring break I decided to try something new. I'm writing this recipe for two people, so it can be doubled and so on.

Time 35m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1 cup extra virgin olive oil
2 cups fine breadcrumbs
1 garlic clove
salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Season chicken strips with salt and pepper.
  • Put butter and garlic in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave on high for one minute.
  • Coat chicken with butter mixture, then coat with breadcrumbs;set aside.
  • Heat oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add chicken, and cook; about 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  • Transfer to paper towels to drain.
  • Great served warm or room temperature.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh chicken strips: Fresh chicken strips will provide the best flavor and texture. Try to avoid frozen or processed strips.
  • Use a good quality oil: The type of oil you use will affect the taste of your chicken strips. Choose a high-heat cooking oil, such as vegetable oil or canola oil.
  • Marinate the chicken strips: Marinating the chicken strips in a flavorful marinade will help to tenderize the chicken and add flavor.
  • Bread the chicken strips: Breading the chicken strips will help to create a crispy outer coating. You can use a variety of breading options, such as breadcrumbs, flour, or cornmeal.
  • Fry the chicken strips: Fry the chicken strips in a hot oil until they are golden brown and cooked through. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan, or the chicken strips will not cook evenly.
  • Serve the chicken strips hot: Chicken strips are best served hot, right out of the fryer. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or honey mustard.
