Tips:

  • To make the pizza dough, you will need all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, sugar, salt, olive oil, and warm water. You can use a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook or mix the ingredients by hand in a large bowl.
  • Once the dough is mixed, knead it on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
  • While the dough is rising, you can make the apple filling. To do this, you will need apples that you peel and slice into thin wedges. You can use any type of apple, but Granny Smith apples are a good choice.
  • To make the caramel sauce, you will need butter, brown sugar, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. You can make the caramel sauce in a saucepan on the stovetop or in a microwave.
  • Once the dough has risen, you can assemble the pizza. To do this, preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle. Spread the caramel sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Arrange the apple slices on top of the caramel sauce.
  • Bake the pizza for about 20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender. Let the pizza cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
