4 cups water
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 cup chopped onion
1 cup refried beans
8 flour tortillas (8 inches), warmed
3 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Optional toppings: Shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, sliced ripe olives and sour cream

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour until smooth; gradually add water. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 1 minute or until thickened. Stir in chili powder and garlic salt. 1 tablespoon chili powder
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped onion
3 cups prepared white sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground sage
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
2 tablespoons chopped mild green chilies
2 cups grated cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
2 tomatoes, chopped
12 white flour tortillas
1/2 head iceberg lettuce, shredded

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef and drain.
  • Add chili powder, garlic, salt and onion.
  • Combine white sauce, sage, oregano, cumin and chiles.
