You can either make your own taco seasoning or use a store-bought brand. If you're using a store-bought seasoning, be sure to check the label to make sure it's gluten-free.
  • Don't overcook the noodles: The noodles should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. This will help them hold their shape and texture in the casserole.
  • Use a variety of toppings: The toppings are what really make this dish special. Be sure to use a variety of toppings, such as cheese, sour cream, salsa, guacamole, and tomatoes. You can also add other toppings, such as cooked ground beef, chicken, or beans.
  • Serve immediately: This dish is best served immediately after it's made. The noodles will start to absorb the sauce and toppings over time, so it's best to enjoy it fresh.
