This recipe is my own creation. It works great with the pre-packaged taco kits. If you like the crust a little softer, add more taco sauce and bake for a few more minutes.

Time 20m

  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different fillings. This recipe is very versatile, so you can use any type of fillings that you like. Some popular fillings include ground beef, chicken, or black beans. You can also add vegetables, such as corn, black beans, or bell peppers.
  • Be sure to layer the ingredients properly. The cheese should be placed on top of the meat and vegetables, so that it can melt and get gooey. You can also add a layer of sour cream or guacamole to the top of the casserole before baking.
  • Bake the casserole until it is bubbly and hot. This will usually take about 20-30 minutes. You can check to see if the casserole is done by inserting a toothpick into the center. If the toothpick comes out clean, the casserole is done.
