Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh spinach and oranges are essential for this salad. Wilted spinach or old oranges will not taste as good.
  • Choose ripe oranges: Ripe oranges will be juicy and sweet. Avoid oranges that are green or have a thick, dry rind.
  • Segment the oranges: To segment the oranges, use a sharp knife to cut off the top and bottom of the orange. Then, score the orange from top to bottom, following the natural segments of the fruit. Use your fingers to gently pull apart the segments.
  • Toast the nuts: Toasting the nuts will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy. You can toast nuts in a dry skillet over medium heat, stirring frequently, until they are golden brown and fragrant.
  • Make the dressing ahead of time: You can make the dressing for this salad ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. This will save you time when you're ready to assemble the salad.

Conclusion:

This sweet spinach and orange salad is a refreshing and healthy side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The combination of sweet oranges, tangy dressing, and crunchy nuts is sure to please everyone at your table. So next time you're looking for a light and flavorful salad, give this recipe a try.
