1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Pinch sugar
One 20-ounce bag frozen sweet potato fries
1 1/2 pounds skirt steak
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/3 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano
3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Look for sweet potatoes that are firm and free of blemishes. Choose potatoes that are similar in size so they cook evenly.
  • Cut the potatoes evenly: This will help them cook evenly. You can use a sharp knife or a mandoline to cut the potatoes into fries.
  • Soak the potatoes in water: This will help remove the starch from the potatoes, which will make them crispier. Soak the potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Dry the potatoes thoroughly: Use a paper towel to pat the potatoes dry before cooking. This will help them crisp up in the oven.
  • Use a high oven temperature: This will help the potatoes cook quickly and evenly. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) before cooking the fries.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Make sure there is enough space between the fries so that they can cook evenly. If you overcrowd the baking sheet, the fries will steam instead of crisp up.
  • Shake the baking sheet halfway through cooking: This will help the fries cook evenly. Shake the baking sheet gently once or twice during cooking time.
  • Season the fries with your favorite spices: There are many different ways to season sweet potato fries. Some popular options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and chili powder. You can also use fresh herbs, such as rosemary or thyme.
  • Serve the fries hot and crispy: Sweet potato fries are best served hot and crispy. You can serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, mayonnaise, or ranch dressing.

Conclusion:

Sweet potato fries are a delicious and healthy snack or side dish. They are easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. With a few simple tips, you can make crispy, flavorful sweet potato fries that everyone will love.
