Soooo good! Make it even better by serving with fresh whip cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I also like to use unsalted butter when making this.

Tips:

  • Choose the Right Sweet Potatoes: Select firm, evenly-shaped sweet potatoes with smooth skin and no blemishes. Avoid any with soft spots or signs of sprouting.
  • Pierce the Potatoes: Before baking, pierce the sweet potatoes several times with a fork. This helps steam escape and prevents them from bursting.
  • Use Fresh Ingredients: For the cobbler filling, use fresh, ripe fruit like apples, peaches, or blueberries. This will ensure the best flavor.
  • Make the Cobbler Ahead: You can assemble the cobbler up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate it. This makes it a great option for busy weeknights or entertaining.
  • Serve with Ice Cream or Whipped Cream: A dollop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream is the perfect finishing touch for this warm and comforting dessert.
