Time 5m

Yield 1 cup, 16 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup salad oil
1/3 cup Heinz apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon hot mustard (optional)
to taste garlic powder
to taste salt
1 clove whole garlic

Steps:

  • Blend all ingredients well.
  • Drop a whole clove of garlic in dressing (don't cut up).

Tips:

  • Always use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Fresh herbs, in particular, will give your dressing a brighter, more flavorful taste.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different types of honey. There are many different varieties available, each with its own unique flavor profile. Try using a mild honey like clover honey for a classic flavor, or a more robust honey like buckwheat honey for a more complex taste.
  • If you don't have Dijon mustard, you can use another type of mustard, such as yellow mustard or brown mustard. However, Dijon mustard has a sharper flavor that will give your dressing more depth of flavor.
  • Taste your dressing as you go and adjust the seasonings to your liking. If you find that the dressing is too sweet, add a little more vinegar or lemon juice. If you find that the dressing is too tart, add a little more honey or sugar.
  • Homemade honey mustard dressing can be stored in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks. However, the dressing is best when used fresh.

Conclusion:

Sweet honey mustard dressing is a versatile condiment that can be used on a variety of dishes. It is perfect for salads, sandwiches, and wraps. It can also be used as a dipping sauce for chicken, fish, or vegetables. With its sweet and tangy flavor, honey mustard dressing is sure to please everyone at your table.
