1-1/4 teaspoons cream of tartar

Spoon batter into an ungreased 10-in. tube pan (pan will be very full). Bake at 375° for 35-40 minutes or until top crust is golden brown and cracks feel dry. Tips:

  • Choosing the Right Angel Food Cake: Opt for a high-quality angel food cake with a light and fluffy texture. Look for cakes that are made with fresh ingredients and have a delicate flavor.
  • Preparing the Strawberries: For the best results, use fresh, ripe strawberries. Hull and slice the strawberries evenly to ensure they are uniform in size and shape.
  • Whipping the Cream: Use heavy cream that is cold and has a high fat content (at least 35%). Whip the cream until it forms soft peaks to achieve the perfect consistency.
  • Layering the Parfaits: Layer the parfaits in a visually appealing manner. Start with a layer of angel food cake, followed by a layer of strawberries, and then a layer of whipped cream. Repeat the layers until the parfait glass is full, ending with a dollop of whipped cream.
  • Chilling the Parfaits: Before serving, chill the parfaits in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld and the parfaits to set.
