Tips:

  • Pork Shoulder: For the best results, choose a 3-4 pound pork shoulder roast. This cut is well-suited for slow cooking and will become fall-apart tender in the slow cooker.
  • BBQ Sauce: Feel free to use your favorite store-bought or homemade barbecue sauce. If using a store-bought sauce, choose one that is thick and flavorful.
  • Pineapple Juice: Pineapple juice adds a sweet and tangy flavor to the pork. You can substitute apple juice or orange juice if desired.
  • Brown Sugar: Brown sugar adds a rich, caramelized flavor to the pork. You can substitute white sugar if needed.
  • Cooking Time: Allow the pork to cook for at least 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high. This will ensure that the pork is cooked through and fall-apart tender.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve the pulled pork on buns or rolls with your favorite toppings, such as coleslaw, onion rings, and pickles.

Conclusion:

This Sweet and Tangy Slow Cooker Bar-B-Q Pork is an easy and delicious meal that is perfect for busy weeknights or casual gatherings. The pork is cooked to perfection in the slow cooker, and the sweet and tangy BBQ sauce adds a burst of flavor. Serve the pulled pork on buns or rolls with your favorite toppings, and enjoy!
