SWEET AND SOUR BAKED CHICKEN WINGS

Sweet and Sour Baked Chicken Wings image

If desired serve with rice or noodles, pouring sauce from chicken over each serving. You can also cut down on calories by not dredging the chicken but just browning it in a roast pan (using cooking spray) on top of the stove, then adding the remaining ingredients as directed and roasting in the oven. It's good either way!

Time 50m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 6

4 cups cider vinegar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chili-garlic sauce, such as sambal
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 gallon canola oil
24 chicken wings

Steps:

  • In a pot, combine the cider vinegar, brown sugar and chili-garlic sauce and whisk together. Bring the sauce to a simmer and reduce the heat to medium-low.
