1/2 cup packed brown sugar
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 package (16 oz) hot dogs, sliced on the diagonal into 1 1/2-inch pieces
1/2 large green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 1 cup)
1/2 large red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch cubes (about 1 cup)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons water
8 cups hot cooked white rice

  • Drain pineapple chunks; reserve juice. In medium bowl, stir juice with brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce and garlic powder.
  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook hot dogs in oil 3 to 4 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly browned. Remove from skillet.

1 pkg your favorite type of hotdogs, sliced like coins
1/4 c cinnamon sugar butter spread
salt and pepper
1 c tart apple, unpeeled, cored and cut in bite size pieces
1/2 c red and yellow bell peppers, chopped bite size pieces
2 Tbsp tomato puree
1 Tbsp brown sugar
2 Tbsp white vinegar
1/2 c chopped onion
1 tsp finely chopped fresh garlic
1/3 c sweet and sour sauce or your own

  • 1. Cut up hotdogs in bite size pieces in a medium bowl sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Set aside. In a 12-inch skillet melt the cinnamon butter spread. Brown and glaze the hotdogs in the cinnamon butter until starting to brown. Add the apple pieces, bell pepper and onion into the same skillet. Cook over medium heat stirring until coated and caramelized; about 5-7 minutes.
  • 2. Stir in the garlic, brown sugar, vinegar,tomato puree and sweet and sour sauce. Cook until heated through. Serve over hot cooked rice.
