Tips:

  • Choose the right ribs: Country-style ribs are cut from the pork shoulder, and they have a good amount of meat and fat, which makes them ideal for slow cooking. Look for ribs that are about 1 inch thick and have a good amount of marbling.
  • Use a good quality sauce: The sauce is what makes sweet and sour ribs so delicious, so it's important to use a good quality sauce. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own. If you're making your own sauce, be sure to use fresh ingredients and simmer it for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
  • Cook the ribs low and slow: Country-style ribs are best cooked low and slow. This will help the meat to become tender and fall off the bone. Cook the ribs for at least 2 hours, or until the meat is cooked through.
  • Baste the ribs regularly: Basting the ribs while they're cooking will help to keep them moist and flavorful. Baste the ribs every 30 minutes or so with the cooking sauce.

Conclusion:

Sweet and sour country-style ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout or potluck. By following these tips, you can make sure that your ribs turn out perfect every time.

So what are you waiting for? Fire up the grill and get cooking!
