Time 8m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup smooth peanut butter
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 pinch cumin

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a blender.
  • Serve over rice and steamed veggies or use as a dip.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of nuts. You can use any kind of nuts you like in this sauce, but peanuts are the most traditional. Other good options include almonds, cashews, and walnuts.
  • Roast the nuts. Roasting the nuts brings out their flavor and makes them more fragrant. You can roast them in a pan over medium heat or in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes.
  • Use a good quality peanut butter. The peanut butter is the base of this sauce, so it's important to use a good quality brand. Look for a peanut butter that is made with 100% peanuts and no added sugar or salt.
  • Add some heat. If you like your sauce spicy, you can add some chili peppers or Sriracha sauce. Start with a small amount and add more to taste.
  • Use the sauce as a marinade. This sauce is great for marinating chicken, tofu, or vegetables. Just coat the food in the sauce and let it sit for at least 30 minutes before cooking.

Conclusion:

Thai peanut sauce is a versatile sauce that can be used as a dipping sauce, marinade, or stir-fry sauce. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. So next time you're looking for a flavorful and easy-to-make sauce, give this Thai peanut sauce a try. You won't be disappointed!
