Tips:
- Use fresh cardamom pods for the best flavor. Grind them finely in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle.
- If you don't have any cardamom pods, you can use ground cardamom. However, the flavor will be less intense.
- Make sure the milk and butter are lukewarm before adding them to the yeast mixture. This will help the yeast to activate and rise properly.
- Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic. This will help to develop the gluten in the dough and make the rolls light and fluffy.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for at least 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size. This will give the yeast time to work and produce carbon dioxide, which will cause the dough to rise.
- When rolling out the dough, make sure it is not too thin. The rolls should be about 1/4 inch thick.
- Brush the rolls with melted butter before baking. This will help them to brown and give them a nice shine.
- Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
