Tips:

  • Choose high-quality salmon. Fresh, wild-caught salmon is best, but frozen salmon can also be used. Make sure the salmon is boneless and skinless.
  • Use a food processor or blender to finely chop the salmon. This will help create a smooth and even texture for the salmon balls.
  • Season the salmon mixture generously. Use a variety of spices and herbs to create a flavorful salmon ball.
  • Chill the salmon mixture for at least 30 minutes before forming into balls. This will help the mixture firm up and make it easier to handle.
  • Gently fry the salmon balls in hot oil until golden brown. Do not overcrowd the pan, or the salmon balls will steam instead of fry.
  • Serve the salmon balls immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

Susan's Smoky Salmon Balls are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or snack. They are perfect for parties or potlucks, and they can also be enjoyed as a meal with a side salad. The smoky flavor of the salmon is perfectly complemented by the creamy sauce, and the crispy coating adds a nice crunch. Whether you are a fan of salmon or not, you are sure to enjoy these tasty little balls.
