CRANBERRY APPLE CRISP

Cranberry Apple Crisp image

Everyone usually associates cranberry sauce with Thanksgiving dinner. This recipe is a switch for me, as I really wasn't all that fond of the tart cranberry. Pairing sweet apples, cranberry sauce, and the delicious crisp topping is a great breakfast dish or a different take on apple crisp for dessert. It's also great with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Tips:

- Choose the right apples: Use apples that hold their shape well when baked, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn. - Prepare the fruit properly: Peel and core the apples, then slice them thinly. Also, rinse and drain the cranberries. - Make sure the crisp topping is evenly distributed: Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the fruit mixture. - Bake the crisp until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling: This usually takes around 45 minutes. - Let the crisp cool slightly before serving: This will allow the filling to set and the flavors to meld.

Conclusion:

This cranberry apple crisp is a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that is perfect for any occasion. With its sweet and tart filling and crunchy topping, it is sure to be a hit with everyone. So next time you are looking for a special dessert, give this cranberry apple crisp a try. You won't be disappointed!
