Tips:

  • Activate the yeast properly: To ensure the donuts rise properly, make sure the yeast is activated correctly. Proof the yeast in warm water with a little sugar before adding it to the dough.
  • Knead the dough well: Kneading the dough develops the gluten and helps create a smooth, elastic dough that will rise properly.
  • Let the dough rise in a warm place: The dough should rise in a warm place, such as a turned-off oven with the light on, until it has doubled in size. This will take about an hour.
  • Roll the dough to the right thickness: The dough should be rolled to a thickness of about 1/2 inch. If the dough is too thin, the donuts will be crispy; if it is too thick, they will be doughy.
  • Cut the donuts evenly: Use a sharp donut cutter or a biscuit cutter to cut the donuts evenly. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Fry the donuts at the right temperature: The oil should be heated to 350°F before frying the donuts. If the oil is too hot, the donuts will brown too quickly and not cook through; if the oil is too cold, the donuts will absorb too much oil.
  • Flip the donuts halfway through frying: Flip the donuts halfway through frying so that they cook evenly on both sides.
  • Drain the donuts on paper towels: Drain the donuts on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  • Glaze the donuts while they are still warm: If you are glazing the donuts, do so while they are still warm. This will help the glaze set properly.

Conclusion:

These super easy donuts are a delicious and satisfying treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a snack. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create these delicious donuts at home. So what are you waiting for? Give this recipe a try today!
