SUPER EASY CHICKEN POT PIE
This is one of those recipes that you enjoy so much. It's easy to fix and take to any function. You can also take it unbaked with directions for baking. It's not as good warmed up so this is a great idea when taking to someone who has just had a baby or whatever. My girls use this recipe a lot. It's just as wonderful to make...

Steps:
- 1. Bring pie crust to room temperature while chicken is baking. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- 2. Unroll pie crust gently and place into at least a three inch deep 8 or 9 inch casserole dish. Leaving approximate 1/4 inches hanging over.
- 3. Put prepared chicken in bottom of crust lined dish. Add the Veg-All and Cream of Chicken Soup. Top with Cheddar Cheese and top with second pie crust.
- 4. Tuck ends of crust under bottom crust to seal well all around. Take a fork and pierce the top several time. Place in oven and bake for about 40 minutes. Keep and eye on it. When it starts to brown, baste the top with the melted butter and continue baking until golden brown. Serve with a salad and your dinner is done. So delicious.
Tips:
- Use a good quality pie crust. You can either make your own or buy a pre-made one. If you're making your own, be sure to chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before rolling it out.
- Don't overcook the chicken. It should be cooked through, but not dry. If you're using a meat thermometer, the internal temperature should be 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Use fresh vegetables. This will give your pot pie the best flavor. If you don't have fresh vegetables on hand, you can use frozen vegetables. Just be sure to thaw them before adding them to the pot pie.
- Season the pot pie to taste. You can use salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and any other herbs or spices that you like. Be sure to taste the pot pie before serving and adjust the seasoning as needed.
- Serve the pot pie hot. This is the best way to enjoy it. You can serve it with a side of salad or mashed potatoes.
Conclusion:
Chicken pot pie is a classic comfort food that is perfect for a cold night. It's easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste. With these tips, you can make a delicious chicken pot pie that your family and friends will love.
