Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 5

12 oz can of frozen orange juice
12 oz can of frozen lemonade
48 oz can of unsweetened pineapple juice
6 c water
1 c sugar

Steps:

  • 1. Mix above ingredients and freeze 5 hours. Break into chunks and put into punch bowl Pour 28 oz ginger ale, 7up or sprite over chunks.
  • 2. Although the recipe says pour 28oz of ginger ale, 7up or sprite over all the frozen punch after breaking it up in chunks, I used throw away plastic containers I purchased from the dollar store to freeze the punch in. The containers were about 4 cups each. This way, I am able to use as much of the frozen punch as needed. When the punch bowl gets low, I can add more frozen punch and pour on as much ginger ale, 7up or sprite I need. I use ginger ale or sprite because they have more of a fizz than 7up.

SUNSHINE PUNCH

Categories     Fruit

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 oranges
6 lemons
1 lb. can pineapple juice
1 small bottle maraschino cherries
2 quarts sparkling white grape juice

Steps:

  • 1.Make a large block of ice, using an empty fruit juice carton or some similar container, the night before. 2.Squeeze the oranges and lemons to obtain juice, discarding seeds. 3.Place fruit juices and cherries in a punch bowl over the block of ice. 4.If this is to be used for a picnic, a large insulated Thermos container can be used instead of a punch bowl. Fill a pre-chilled Thermos 1/4 of the way with regular ice.

Tips:

  • Chill thoroughly: For the best flavor and texture, chill the punch for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  • Choose your fruit wisely: Use a variety of fresh, seasonal fruits for the best flavor. Avoid fruits that are too soft or brown, as they will make the punch cloudy.
  • Use a variety of juices: Don't just use one type of juice. Combine different flavors, such as orange, pineapple, and cranberry, to create a more complex and interesting drink.
  • Add some fizz: For a sparkling punch, add a bottle of club soda or sparkling water just before serving.
  • Garnish with fresh fruit: Add a few slices of fruit to the punch bowl for a garnish. This will make the punch look more festive and inviting.

Conclusion:

Sunshine punch is a refreshing and delicious drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your own taste. So next time you are looking for a fun and festive drink to serve, give sunshine punch a try!
