PEANUT BUTTER CHEWS
Have been making these since I was 15. Served in our school cafeteria for dessert and no one ever wanted to trade. They are requested for every gathering. I even sell them at our local bar and batches of them to friends who hate to cook.

Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: Fresh, high-quality ingredients will result in the best-tasting peanut butter chews.
- Don't overcook the sugar mixture: The sugar mixture should be cooked until it reaches the soft ball stage, which is 240°F on a candy thermometer. If the sugar mixture is overcooked, it will become hard and brittle.
- Stir the peanut butter mixture constantly: This will help to prevent the peanut butter from scorching and ensure that it is evenly mixed with the sugar mixture.
- Let the peanut butter chews cool completely before cutting: This will help to prevent them from crumbling.
- Store the peanut butter chews in an airtight container at room temperature: They will keep for up to 2 weeks.
