CITRUS FRUIT PUNCH

Citrus Fruit Punch image

This recipe hails from the days when I did a lot of cooking with alcoholic beverages, & when I made a number of party punches with the same. Many of them have been put aside, however, since my other half is an active member of AA. Still, I have a few of the recipes around, & here is one of them. Preparation time does not inclued the time it takes to chill the punch.

Categories     Punch Beverage

Time 5m

Yield 5 quarts, 26 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 (6 ounce) cans frozen lemonade concentrate
1 (6 ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
8 cups water
3/4 cup grenadine
2 (32 ounce) bottles grapefruit soda
1 1/2 cups orange Curacao (optional)
1 orange, sliced (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all the concentrates with the water, then stir in the syrup, before chilling.
  • Pour into a large punch bowl & add ice, before SLOWLY pouring in the carbonated beverage, [& the curacao, if desired].
  • Garnish with the sliced oranges, if desired.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe, juicy citrus fruits: The quality of your fruit will greatly impact the flavor of your punch, so be sure to select the best citrus fruits you can find. Look for fruits that are heavy for their size and have smooth, unblemished skin.
  • Use a variety of citrus fruits: To create a complex and flavorful punch, use a variety of citrus fruits, such as oranges, lemons, limes, and grapefruits. You can also add other fruits, such as berries or pineapple, for additional flavor.
  • Don't oversweeten the punch: Citrus fruits are naturally sweet, so you don't need to add a lot of sugar to your punch. Start with a small amount of sugar and add more to taste.
  • Chill the punch before serving: Citrus fruit punch is best served chilled. You can either chill it in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight, or you can add a few ice cubes to each glass.

Conclusion:

Citrus fruit punch is a refreshing and flavorful drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be customized to your liking.
