MEATLOAF STUFFING
I get bored of regular red sauce meatloaf. I've combined my version of holiday stuffing and turned it into a meatloaf. This alternative is delicious and full of veggies and apples. Instead of using bread crumbs, crackers, or oatmeal, try Pepperidge Farm® Herb Seasoned Stuffing! Perfect for fall-winter comfort-style dinners. Pairs well with traditional mashed potatoes and dinner rolls. After experimenting several times over the course of a few years, I've come up with what I call 'Meatloaf Stuffing'. You can use ground beef if meatloaf meat is not available. Enjoy!

This was what I thought was an invention of mine until I looked it up and found other recipes. Mine is more simple than some others but it makes a very dense meatloaf that tastes just like a turkey and dressing dinner. Steps:
- Gently blend the hamburger and sausage in a mixing bowl. Form a well in the meat and then add the stuffing followed by all ingredients EXCEPT ketchup. Do NOT drain tomatoes. Mix well and form into a meatloaf shape in baking pan. Bake at 350 for approximately 45 minutes or until nearly done and edges are getting crispy. Remove from oven and top with ketchup. Return to oven for additional 10-15 minutes. Allow to rest 5 - 10 minutes, slice and enjoy.
- This is also great cooked in muffin tins. Not only do you have individual sized meatloaves, with everyone getting crispy edges, they freeze great when the craving for "just a little meatloaf" hits.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 deg. Coat the inside of a Bundt Pan with Cooking Spray Place warm water, onion soup mix and dry stuffing mix into a bowl and mix well. Let it sit awhile to absorb all the water. Add eggs to Ground Beef and mix well. The best way I've found to do this is to use your hands and incorporate it all together. Place Ground Beef mix to the Bundt Pan. (You could also use Muffin Tins to make individual loaves. Bake for 1 hour or until the Beef is no longer pink inside. Remove and allow to rest for 5 minutes. Garnish the Meatloaf by piling Mashed Potatoes in the center hole of the loaf. You could smother the entire presentation with Gravy of your choosing. Mushroom gravy is my favorite. (but the kids love ketchup)

Steps:
- mix water and all ingredients except 1/4 cup barbeque sauce. shape in loaf pan and top with remaining 1/4 cup barbeque sauce bake 375 for one hour or until the center is not pink
Tips:
- Choose the right meatloaf mix. Ground beef is the most common meat used in meatloaf, but ground turkey, pork, or veal can also be used. You can also use a combination of meats.
- Don't overmix the meatloaf. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Mix the ingredients just until they are combined.
- Add some moisture to the meatloaf. This will help to keep the meatloaf moist and prevent it from drying out. You can add moisture to the meatloaf by adding eggs, milk, or broth.
- Season the meatloaf well. Meatloaf is a blank canvas for flavor, so don't be afraid to add your favorite seasonings. Some common seasonings for meatloaf include salt, pepper, garlic, onion, and herbs.
- Use a loaf pan or baking dish that is the right size for the meatloaf. If the loaf pan or baking dish is too small, the meatloaf will overflow. If the loaf pan or baking dish is too large, the meatloaf will be too thin.
- Bake the meatloaf at the correct temperature. The correct temperature for baking meatloaf is 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. This will help to keep the meatloaf moist and prevent it from falling apart.
Conclusion:
Meatloaf is a classic comfort food that is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. By following the tips in this article, you can make a delicious and flavorful meatloaf that your family and friends will love.
