Number Of Ingredients 3

35 pepperoncini
1 c. Boursin herb or garlic flavored soft cheese
2/3 c. finely diced salami

Steps:

  • Cut the top portion with the stem off the pepperoncini, and remove the seeds. Be careful not to split the pepperoncini. In a small bowl mix together the cheese and salami until thoroughly combined. Snip a little bit of the corner off a plastic storage bag. Spoon the cheese mixture into the bag and twist the top until the mixture and begins to come out of the cut corner. Pipe the cheese into each pepperoncini. Chill until ready to serve. Preparation Time: 15 Minutes

Tips:

  • Choose firm, bright green pepperoncinis: Avoid pepperoncinis that are soft or have blemishes, as they will not hold their shape when stuffed.
  • Core the pepperoncinis carefully: Use a sharp knife to make a small slit in the stem end of each pepperoncini and remove the seeds and ribs. Be careful not to cut too deeply into the pepperoncini, as this will cause them to fall apart.
  • Use a variety of fillings: The sky's the limit when it comes to fillings for stuffed pepperoncinis. Some popular options include cream cheese, sausage, crab, and vegetables. Get creative and experiment with different flavors and combinations.
  • Dip the pepperoncinis in batter before frying: This will help the batter to adhere to the pepperoncinis and prevent them from falling apart. You can use a simple batter made with flour, eggs, and milk, or you can try a more flavorful batter made with breadcrumbs, herbs, or spices.
  • Fry the pepperoncinis until they are golden brown: This will ensure that they are cooked through and crispy. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan when frying the pepperoncinis, as this will cause them to steam instead of fry.

Conclusion:

Stuffed pepperoncinis are a delicious and versatile appetizer that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own personal taste. Whether you like them stuffed with cream cheese, sausage, crab, or vegetables, there is sure to be a recipe that you will love. So next time you are looking for a fun and easy appetizer to serve at your next party or gathering, give stuffed pepperoncinis a try. You won't be disappointed!
