Tips:

  • Choose ripe, sweet strawberries for the best flavor. Avoid berries that are bruised or have soft spots.
  • Use a variety of greens for a more colorful and flavorful salad. Arugula, spinach, and romaine are all good choices.
  • Toast the pecans or walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes, until they are fragrant and slightly browned. This will enhance their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Make the cinnamon vinaigrette ahead of time and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, so that the flavors can meld together.
  • Don't overdress the salad. You want the flavors of the strawberries, greens, and nuts to shine through.
  • Serve the salad immediately, while the strawberries are still fresh and juicy.

Conclusion:

This strawberry salad with cinnamon vinaigrette is a delicious and refreshing way to enjoy fresh strawberries. It's perfect for a summer lunch or dinner, and it's also a great side dish for grilled chicken or fish. The combination of sweet strawberries, tangy vinaigrette, and crunchy nuts is sure to please everyone at your table.
