Time 10m

Yield Makes 1 3/4 cups

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 jar (10 to 12 ounces) seedless raspberry jam (about 1 cup)
1 package (10 ounces) frozen strawberries

Steps:

  • In a medium saucepan, heat raspberry jam over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until liquefied, about 3 minutes.
  • Add frozen strawberries. Simmer until softened, 5 to 10 minutes. With a potato masher, lightly mash strawberries, leaving some large pieces. Cool completely.
  • Transfer to an airtight container; refrigerate up to 1 week. (If sauce solidifies, warm in the microwave or over low heat.)

Tips:

  • For a smoother sauce, strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve after cooking.
  • If you don't have fresh berries, you can use frozen berries. Just thaw them before using.
  • You can adjust the amount of sugar in the recipe to suit your taste. If you like a sweeter sauce, add more sugar. If you prefer a tart sauce, use less sugar.
  • This sauce is also great as a topping for ice cream, yogurt, or pancakes.
  • If you want to make a larger batch of sauce, simply double or triple the recipe.

Conclusion:

This strawberry raspberry sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used in a variety of ways. It's perfect for topping desserts, such as ice cream, yogurt, or pancakes.
