4 FlatOut Pinwheel Lavash Breads (or other bread for pinwheels)
16 oz container strawberries, washed, dried, and thinly sliced
1/2 cup whipped cream cheese
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 tsps milk
4 tsps honey

Steps:

  • Combine cream cheese, milk, and powdered sugar in a small bowl.
  • Layout one pinwheel bread and spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture over 3/4 of the bread. On the end with the cream cheese place cut strawberries in a single layer over about one third of the bread, then drizzle with honey. (Note: Create it lengthwise and keep some clear space...it will roll best).
  • Begin rolling bread into a tight pinwheel. Slice into 6 pieces. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup sour cream
1 can (4-1/4 ounces) chopped ripe olives
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles, well drained
1/2 cup chopped green onions
Garlic powder to taste
Seasoned salt to taste
5 flour tortillas (10 inches)
Salsa, optional

Steps:

  • Beat cream cheese, cheese and sour cream until blended. Stir in olives, green chiles, green onions and seasonings., Spread over tortillas; roll up tightly. Wrap each in plastic, twisting ends to seal; refrigerate several hours., Unwrap. Cut into 1/2- to 3/4-in. slices, using a serrated knife. If desired, serve with salsa.

Yield 32 pinwheels

Number Of Ingredients 9

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 ounces goat cheese, fig, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon honey, liquid
1/2 tablespoon key lime zest, grated
1/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
3/4 cup strawberry, fresh, small, thinly sliced
8 slices white bread, soft, crusts remove
8 pieces plastic wrap

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese and goat cheese together, blending well, next add the milk, honey and key lime rind.
  • Once the cheese mixture is creamy add the coarsely chopped pecans and place in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
  • Thinly slice the strawberries and set a side until needed.
  • Remove the crusts from the bread.
  • With a rolling pin flatten the bread slices, horizontally and vertically.
  • Spread 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture on the prepared bread slices.
  • Place a piece of plastic wrap on table and place the bread on top of the plastic wrap.
  • In the middle of the bread place two rows of of the thinly sliced strawberries.
  • Gently roll the bread into a log, cover the log with the plastic wrap, do this for each slice.
  • Chill the covered, cream cheese logs in the fridge for 3 hours or overnight, for the flavors to blend.
  • Remove the logs from fridge, take off the plastic and gently slice the logs with a bread knife.
  • You should get four slices from each bread log.
