STOLEN SPICE RUB/ SEASONING MIX!

Stolen Spice Rub/ Seasoning Mix! image

I don't know if you have ever been to Chicago, but should you go, have a bite of heaven and come to the Fairmont Hotel's Aria restaurant. It's expensive, but it's the best dinner you'll ever have. After I noticed the lack of seasoning mixes here, I figured I'd share this spice mix. It's for beef roasts, brisket, even steaks! I broke it down to teaspoons (originally the measurements were in cups) Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Use fresh spices: Fresh spices have a more intense flavor than pre-ground spices. If possible, buy whole spices and grind them yourself just before using.
  • Toast your spices: Toasting spices in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes can bring out their flavor and aroma.
  • Use a variety of spices: Don't be afraid to experiment with different spices to create your own unique spice rub. Some popular spices to use in a spice rub include paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Adjust the heat level to your taste: If you like spicy food, you can add more cayenne pepper or chili powder to your spice rub. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can reduce the amount of these spices.
  • Use a spice rub generously: Don't be afraid to use a generous amount of spice rub on your meat or vegetables. This will help to ensure that they are evenly seasoned.
  • Let the spice rub sit for a while before cooking: This will allow the flavors of the spices to penetrate the meat or vegetables.

Conclusion:

A spice rub is a great way to add flavor to your food. It is easy to make and can be used on a variety of meats, vegetables, and even fruits. With a little experimentation, you can create your own unique spice rub that will make your food taste amazing.
