Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
2 cups packed brown sugar
2 large eggs
2 teaspoons real vanilla
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • Set aside 2 tablespoons of the butter. Beat the remaining butter with a mixer on medium speed for 30 seconds. Add brown sugar; beat until well mixed. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another large bowl stir together flour and baking soda; stir in oats. Gradually stir dry mixture into beaten mixture. Set aside.
  • In a medium saucepan combine the 2 tablespoons butter, the sweetened condensed milk, and chocolate . Cook over low heat until chocolate melts, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla.
  • Press two-thirds (about 3-1/3 cups) of the oat mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 15×10x1-inch baking pan. Spread chocolate mixture over the oat mixture. Using your fingers, dot remaining oat mixture over the chocolate.

Tips:

  • Use rolled oats: Rolled oats are the best type of oats to use for these bars because they provide a chewy texture and a nutty flavor.
  • Don't overcook the oats: Be careful not to overcook the oats, as this will make them mushy. Cook them just until they are softened but still have a slight bite to them.
  • Use a good quality chocolate: The quality of the chocolate you use will make a big difference in the flavor of these bars. Use a high-quality dark chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate for the best results.
  • Chill the bars before serving: Chilling the bars before serving will help them to set and firm up. This will also make them easier to cut into clean slices.
  • Store the bars in an airtight container: Store the bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. You can also freeze the bars for up to 2 months.

Conclusion:

These Starbucks Oat Fudge Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are chewy, chocolatey, and have a delicious oat flavor. They are also a good source of fiber and protein. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy snack or a special dessert, these bars are sure to satisfy your cravings.
