Garlic and Bacon Kale image

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 cups kale, stems removed and coarsely chopped
6 slices bacon
1 small onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Cut bacon into pieces. 2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until browned. Remove the bacon to paper toweling to drain. 3. Add the onion to the skillet and cook until softened. 4. Place the kale and garlic in the skillet and stir into the onion. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes. 5. Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use fresh spinach and kale. If you only have frozen greens, be sure to thaw and drain them thoroughly before using.
  • Use a high-quality bacon. The smokier the bacon, the better the dip will be.
  • Don't overcook the bacon. It should be crispy, but not burnt.
  • Use a good quality cream cheese. The higher the fat content, the creamier the dip will be.

  • Serve the dip with your favorite dippers, such as crackers, chips, or vegetables.
