Tips:

  • Choose the right type of spinach. Fresh spinach is best, but frozen spinach can be used in a pinch. If using frozen spinach, be sure to thaw and drain it thoroughly before using.
  • Cook the spinach properly. Spinach should be cooked until it is just wilted. Overcooking will make it mushy.
  • Use a good quality ground beef. The better the quality of the ground beef, the better the pie will taste.
  • Season the ground beef well. Use a variety of seasonings to give the ground beef flavor. Some good options include salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Don't overcook the spaghetti. Spaghetti should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The better the quality of the cheese, the better the pie will taste. Some good options include mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan.
  • Don't overfill the pie crust. The pie crust should be filled to the top, but not overflowing.
  • Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. This will usually take about 30 minutes.
  • Let the pie cool slightly before serving. This will help the pie to set and make it easier to slice.
