Tips:

  • For the best mashed potatoes, use Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes. These varieties are starchy and will mash smoothly.
  • Peel and cut the potatoes into evenly sized pieces before boiling. This will help them cook evenly.
  • Boil the potatoes in salted water. The salt will help to flavor the potatoes and prevent them from becoming bland.
  • Drain the potatoes well before mashing. Any excess water will make the potatoes gluey.
  • Use a potato ricer or a food mill to mash the potatoes. This will give you a smooth and lump-free texture.
  • Add milk, butter, and cream cheese to the mashed potatoes until you reach your desired consistency. You can also add other ingredients, such as garlic, herbs, or cheese.
  • Serve the mashed potatoes immediately, while they are still hot and fluffy.

Conclusion:

Spinach artichoke mashed potatoes are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. They are creamy, cheesy, and packed with flavor.
