Time 1h20m

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 pkg frozen spinach, cooked and drained
4 c pepperidge farm herb stuffing
3/4 c butter, melted and cooled slightly
6 large eggs, beaten
1 small onion, grated
3/4 tsp pepper
1/2 Tbsp thyme, dried
1 Tbsp garlic powder
1/2 c parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well.
  • 2. Shape balls using a medium ice cream scoop (about 2 tablespoons). Bake at 350 degrees on a greased cookie sheet for 20 minutes.
  • 3. If you plan on freezing place on cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Freeze for several hours, remove from pan and place in a resealable bag. Store in freezer until ready to use. Bake as directed.

Tips for Making Perfect Spinach Appetizers:

  • Choose fresh, tender spinach: Wilted or old spinach will not yield the best results. Look for spinach with deep green leaves and no signs of yellowing or wilting.
  • Wash spinach thoroughly: Spinach can harbor dirt and grit, so it's important to wash it thoroughly before using. Rinse the spinach under cold water, swishing it around to dislodge any dirt or debris.
  • Wilt spinach properly: Wilting spinach removes excess moisture and helps to concentrate its flavor. To wilt spinach, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the spinach and cook, stirring constantly, until it has wilted and is bright green, about 2 minutes.
  • Season spinach to taste: Spinach has a mild flavor, so it's important to season it well. Use a combination of salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste.
  • Use high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly affect the final product. Use fresh, flavorful ingredients whenever possible.

Conclusion:

Spinach appetizers are a delicious and versatile way to start any meal. They can be made with a variety of ingredients and flavors, and they're sure to please everyone at your table. With a little planning and effort, you can create spinach appetizers that will impress your guests and leave them wanting more.
