Tips:

  • Use fresh spinach: Fresh spinach has a more vibrant flavor and texture than frozen spinach. If you're using frozen spinach, be sure to thaw and squeeze out all of the excess water before using.
  • Cook the sausage thoroughly: Sausage is a potential source of foodborne illness, so it's important to cook it thoroughly. Make sure the sausage is cooked through to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  • Use a variety of cheeses: This recipe calls for a combination of mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. You can also use other types of cheese, such as cheddar, Gruyère, or Swiss.
  • Don't overfill the phyllo sheets: When you're assembling the phyllo bake, don't overfill the sheets. Too much filling will make it difficult to fold the sheets and will cause the bake to become soggy.
  • Bake the phyllo bake until golden brown: Bake the phyllo bake until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. This will take about 25-30 minutes.

Conclusion:

This spinach and sausage phyllo bake is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for any occasion. It's a great way to use up leftover spinach and sausage, and it's also a great dish to make ahead of time. Serve it with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
