Toast them in a single layer in a preheated oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes, stirring once or twice. 3. Use a Good Quality Cayenne Pepper: The cayenne pepper adds a nice spicy kick to the pecans. Use a good quality cayenne pepper for the best flavor. 4. Add Other Spices: Feel free to add other spices to the pecans, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika. 5. Be Careful Not to Burn the Pecans: Keep a close eye on the pecans while they are toasting. They can burn quickly, so it's important to stir them frequently. 6. Let the Pecans Cool: Let the pecans cool completely before storing them. This will help them to retain their crunch.
