Time 30m

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 cup water
2 tablespoons sriracha (add more for spicier sauce, hot chili sauce)
5 tablespoons soy sauce
¼ cup honey (plus 1 more tablespoon)
1 tablespoon garlic (minced)
¼ teaspoon red chili flakes
1 ½ tablespoons cornstarch
1 ½ tablespoons water
1 ½ pounds chicken breast (cut into 1-inch cubes)
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (for stir-frying)
kosher salt (as needed for seasoning)
black pepper (freshly ground, as needed for seasoning)
¼ cup green onion (sliced for garnish)

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs are ideal for this recipe. If you use chicken breasts, slice them into thin strips so they cook evenly.
  • Use a well-seasoned wok or skillet. A well-seasoned wok or skillet will help prevent the chicken from sticking. If you don't have a wok or skillet, you can use a large saucepan.
  • Don't overcrowd the wok or skillet. If you overcrowd the wok or skillet, the chicken will not cook evenly. Cook the chicken in batches if necessary.
  • Cook the chicken until it is cooked through. The chicken should be cooked through but still tender. Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough.
  • Add the vegetables towards the end of cooking. The vegetables should be cooked but still retain their crunch. If you add them too early, they will become mushy.
  • Serve the stir-fry immediately. Stir-fries are best served immediately after they are cooked. This will ensure that the vegetables are still crunchy and the chicken is still tender.

Conclusion:

This spicy Sriracha chicken stir-fry is a quick and easy weeknight meal that is packed with flavor. The chicken is tender and juicy, the vegetables are crisp and colorful, and the sauce is spicy and tangy. This stir-fry is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
