Steps:
- In a large non-stick frying pan, cook the lamb, onion and carrots, stirring often, until the lamb is browned and veg is starting to soften, about 8 mins. Add the garam masala and some seasoning and cook for a further 2 mins until fragrant. Pour in the stock, bring to the boil, tip in the peas and cook for a further 2 mins until the peas are cooked and most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Meanwhile, cook potatoes in a large pan of salted water until just tender, about 8 mins. Drain well, return to the pan and gently stir in turmeric and coriander - try not to break up the potatoes too much.
- Heat oven to 200C/180C fan/gas 6. Transfer the mince to a baking dish and top with the turmeric potatoes. Squeeze over the lemon juice, then bake for 30-35 mins until potatoes are golden. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges on the side.

Tips:
- Use high-quality ground lamb for the best flavor. If you can't find ground lamb, you can substitute ground beef.
- Chorizo adds a delicious spicy flavor to the pie. If you don't like spicy food, you can omit the chorizo or use a milder sausage.
- Use a variety of vegetables in the pie, such as carrots, celery, and peas. You can also add other vegetables, such as potatoes or green beans.
- Season the pie well with salt and pepper. You can also add other spices, such as paprika, cumin, or garlic powder.
- Use a good quality puff pastry for the topping. If you don't have puff pastry, you can use a pie crust mix.
- Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before serving. This will help the filling to set.
Conclusion:
This spicy shepherd's pie with chorizo is a delicious and hearty meal that is perfect for a cold winter day. The combination of lamb, chorizo, and vegetables makes for a flavorful and satisfying dish. The puff pastry topping adds a touch of elegance to the pie, making it perfect for a special occasion.
