Tips:

  • Choose the right sausage: For this recipe, a spicy sausage like kielbasa or chorizo works well. If you prefer a milder flavor, you can use a sweet or mild Italian sausage.
  • Cut the vegetables evenly: This will help them cook evenly. Aim for 1-inch pieces for the potatoes and peppers.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the vegetables will steam instead of roasting. Spread them out in a single layer so they can get crispy.
  • Use a high oven temperature: This will help the vegetables caramelize and get crispy. Aim for 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Toss the vegetables halfway through cooking: This will help them cook evenly and prevent them from burning.
  • Season the vegetables generously: Don't be afraid to use plenty of salt, pepper, and other seasonings. This will help them taste their best.
  • Serve the roasted sausage, potatoes, and peppers immediately: They are best enjoyed hot out of the oven.

Conclusion:

This recipe for Spicy Roasted Sausage, Potatoes, and Peppers is an easy and delicious weeknight meal. It's packed with flavor and can be customized to your liking. Simply choose your favorite sausage, vegetables, and seasonings, and you're good to go. This dish is also a great way to use up leftover sausage.
