SWEET AND SPICY MIXED NUTS

Sweet and Spicy Mixed Nuts image

These are the best of all the recipes I have tried. A couple tips after the first review that I didn't bother to write. Don't pour the nuts onto a cookie sheet. Use a slotted spoon and leave the extra "sauce" in the pan. Use the times suggested, otherwise you will get burnt nuts, not tasty. You may reduce the amount of butter slightly depending on the nuts you use. I use whatever nuts I have on hand. This is a recipe that is sweet to the tongue, then lets out a long slow heat. A beautiful balance. Hope you will try and enjoy.

Tips:

  • Choose the right nuts: For the best results, use raw, unsalted nuts. Roasted or salted nuts can be used, but they will not have the same flavor or texture.
  • Use fresh spices: Ground spices will lose their flavor over time, so it is best to use freshly ground spices whenever possible.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When roasting the nuts, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. This will prevent the nuts from cooking evenly.
  • Roast the nuts until they are golden brown: Keep an eye on the nuts as they roast and remove them from the oven as soon as they are golden brown. Over-roasting the nuts will make them dry and bitter.
  • Let the nuts cool completely before storing them: Once the nuts are roasted, let them cool completely before storing them in an airtight container. This will help to prevent the nuts from becoming soft and chewy.

Conclusion:

Spicy nuts are a delicious and easy-to-make snack that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for parties, potlucks, or just for a quick snack at home. With a variety of different spices to choose from, there is sure to be a spicy nut recipe that everyone will enjoy.
