RANCH SNACK MIX

Ranch Snack Mix image

Capturing the creamy tang of ranch in a dry snack mix can be elusive, but it is possible. Adding vinegar to the melted butter that coats the ingredients in this recipe, and hitting it with buttermilk powder both before and after baking infuses everything with both of those flavor notes.

2 tablespoons onion powder
5 teaspoons garlic powder

Add half of the spice mix and toss to coat.

Tips for Making the Best Spicy Chipotle Cashew Snack Mix:

- Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, flavorful spices and seasonings. Opt for high-quality nuts and seeds. Look for cashews that are large and plump, and avoid any that are broken or discolored. - Toast the nuts and seeds: Toasting the nuts and seeds brings out their flavor and makes them more crunchy. You can toast them in a skillet over medium heat or in the oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes. - Coat the nuts and seeds in the chipotle mixture: Make sure the nuts and seeds are evenly coated in the chipotle mixture. This will ensure that they are all flavorful and spicy. - Bake the snack mix: Baking the snack mix helps to set the flavors and make the nuts and seeds extra crispy. Bake the snack mix at 300°F for about 15 minutes, or until the nuts and seeds are golden brown. - Let the snack mix cool completely: Before storing the snack mix, let it cool completely. This will help to prevent the nuts and seeds from sticking together.
