Time 12m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
2 cloves garlic, pressed
2 egg yolks
1 cup extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Steam the cauliflower al dente.
  • Whisk the garlic into the egg yolks.
  • Whisk in the oil very gradually.
  • Put the aioli (garlic-egg yolk sauce) into a small bowl standing on a flat plate.
  • Arrange florets around bowl.

Tips for Making the Best Spicy Cauliflower Latkes with Za'atar Aioli:

  • Use fresh cauliflower: Fresh cauliflower will give you the best flavor and texture. If you can, try to find a head of cauliflower that is heavy for its size, with tightly packed florets.
  • Grate the cauliflower finely: This will help the latkes cook evenly and prevent them from becoming too mushy. You can use a food processor or a box grater to grate the cauliflower.
  • Season the latkes well: The spices in this recipe are essential for flavor. Don't be afraid to add a little extra if you like things spicy.
  • Cook the latkes over medium heat: This will help them cook through without burning. If the heat is too high, the latkes will brown too quickly on the outside and be raw on the inside.
  • Serve the latkes hot with Za'atar aioli: The aioli is a great way to add extra flavor and richness to the latkes. You can also serve them with sour cream, applesauce, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Conclusion:

These spicy cauliflower latkes are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer or side dish. They're perfect for parties or potlucks, and they're also a great way to use up leftover cauliflower. With their crispy exterior and tender interior, these latkes are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them. So next time you're looking for a new and exciting way to enjoy cauliflower, give this recipe a try!
