2 heads broccoli, cut in small florets
Salt and freshly cracked black pepper
Splash chicken stock

Tips:

  • Choose the right broccoli: Look for broccoli with tightly closed florets and a deep green color. Avoid broccoli with yellow or wilted florets.
  • Cut the broccoli into uniform florets: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you overcrowd the pan, the broccoli will steam instead of sauté.
  • Use a high-heat cooking method: Sautéing broccoli over high heat will help it retain its color and crunch.
  • Add some spice: Red pepper flakes, chili powder, or cayenne pepper are all great ways to add some heat to your broccoli sauté.
  • Don't overcook the broccoli: Broccoli should be cooked until it is tender-crisp, but not mushy.
  • Serve immediately: Sautéed broccoli is best served immediately, while it is still hot and crispy.

Conclusion:

Spicy broccoli sauté is a quick, easy, and healthy side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. With its vibrant color and slightly spicy flavor, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
