Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Opt for fresh, tender beef and firm, waxy potatoes. Freshly ground spices will also enhance the flavor of the dish.
  • Marinate the beef: Marinating the beef in a flavorful mixture of spices and yogurt tenderizes the meat and infuses it with delicious flavors.
  • Use a well-seasoned wok or pan: A well-seasoned wok or pan will help prevent the beef and potatoes from sticking and will also add a smoky flavor to the dish.
  • Cook the beef in batches: Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the beef. Cook it in batches to ensure that it sears properly and doesn't steam.
  • Add the potatoes at the right time: Add the potatoes to the pan once the beef is browned. This will ensure that the potatoes have enough time to cook through without becoming overcooked.
  • Adjust the seasoning: Taste the dish and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more salt, pepper, or spices to your preference.
