Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk

1/2 c spiced rum
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 Tbsp vanilla
3 Tbsp pure pumpkin

Steps:

  • 1. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan. I prefer Corningware.
  • 2. Heat on medium to low; whisk until all ingredients are mixed well.
  • 3. Lower heat to low, cover with a lid. Heat for twenty minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 4. Pour into a ceramic creamer. Serve while hot in desired warm beverage. Store remainder in refrigerator for a week or less.
  • 5. If you are looking for a use for the rest of your pumpkin (if you opened a 15oz can), try my recipe https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/dessert/cake/spiced-pumpkin-biscotti-dipped-in-pumpkin-caramel.html.

Tips:

  • Choose a high-quality coffee. The flavor of the coffee will shine through in the final drink, so it's important to start with a good one. Look for a coffee that is freshly ground and has a rich, complex flavor.
  • Use a dark rum. Dark rum has a more robust flavor than light rum, which will stand up to the coffee and spices. If you don't have dark rum, you can use a light rum, but you may need to add a little more to taste.
  • Use fresh spices. Fresh spices will give your drink the best flavor. If you don't have fresh spices, you can use dried spices, but you may need to use a little more to taste.
  • Don't skimp on the sugar. Sugar helps to balance out the bitterness of the coffee and rum. If you don't like your coffee sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar, but don't omit it entirely.
  • Garnish your drink with a cinnamon stick or whipped cream. This will add a festive touch and make your drink look more inviting.

Conclusion:

Spiced rum coffee is a delicious and easy-to-make drink that is perfect for any occasion. It's the perfect way to warm up on a cold day or to enjoy a special treat after dinner. With its rich, complex flavor and beautiful presentation, spiced rum coffee is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
