Steps:

  • For each drink, combine 4 ounces dry vermouth, 3 tablespoons pomegranate liqueur, 1 tablespoon pomegranate seeds and 2 dashes of orange bitters in a shaker with ice. Shake well, then pour into a glass and top with seltzer. Garnish with more pomegranate seeds.

Tips:

  • Pomegranate arils: To easily remove pomegranate arils, cut the pomegranate in half and hold it over a bowl of water. Use your fingers to loosen the arils from the pith, and they will fall into the water. The arils will sink to the bottom of the bowl, while the pith will float to the top. Skim off the pith and drain the arils.
  • Simple syrup: To make simple syrup, combine equal parts sugar and water in a saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
  • Grenadine: Grenadine is a pomegranate-flavored syrup. It can be purchased at most grocery stores or online. If you don't have grenadine, you can use simple syrup or another fruit-flavored syrup.
  • Champagne: Champagne is a sparkling wine that is made in the Champagne region of France. It is typically made from Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes.Champagne can be expensive, so you can use a less expensive sparkling wine instead.
  • Garnish: Garnish your cocktails with pomegranate arils, fresh mint, or a lime wedge.
